Abstract


Its special geographical conditions , historical causes and the social composition of the population , its inception over 400 years , has played a role as the famous East-West trading port , but also in Western cultural bridges . Macau city buildings are concentrated in some ways reflects the encounter , the collision and fusion of Chinese and Western cultures . This paper mainly discussed from Birth to 1848 Macau city building a blend of Eastern and Western cultures , including Macau geographical overview of the creation of all types of buildings and development as well as urban areas formation and development . Full text is divided into three chapters: the first chapter the Macao Urban Development Overview \. Under this premise, the establishment and development of the Macau City overview . The second chapter, \Chapter \on fusion . The final conclusion is that the Chinese and Western cultures results in the formation of the cultural characteristics of Macao , which is characterized by openness and inclusive , and Macao cultural characteristics have generally displayed in the city's buildings .
