Abstract

As an important part of the Old Town, the traditional commercial street tend to have complex social and economic structure, and as a carrier of the traditional culture of the city, reflecting the city the context of the historical development, small-scale progressive transformation able to maintain the original pattern of the city and texture, is easy with the traditional architecture in harmony, is a suitable mode of transformation of the old town. Xinhua Road status quo under the guidance of the old city renewal theory, combined with investigation established as a central theme of the transformation of the small-scale transformation, to promote the residents of public participation, to encourage residents independent alterations and reconstruction as well as multi-family Lianjian, and allow developers to participate piece renewal project.
