Abstract


Bank Account Manager is responsible for external links banks, based on traditional banking business, and actively implement new services, coordinating inter-linkages between banks and their customers, providing customers with deposit, loan, exchange, integration of financial services, the development of new market business customers marketing personnel. As a bank Foreign Service Account Manager window, on behalf of banks to provide customers with deposits, loans, settlement, intermediary business, comprehensive financial information and consulting services, is the link between the client and the bank. In the state-owned commercial banks to implement client manager system is the need to adapt to the socialist market economy, is to further deepen financial reform, change management concepts, explore with the international market, a new attempt to develop their business areas. Therefore, strengthening the commercial banking client manager team building theoretical exploration and research, the establishment of commercial banks account manager competency model, has a great theoretical and practical significance. In this paper the definition adopted competency is: can a job (or organization, culture) in performers and average performers to distinguish individual potential, in-depth features, it can be motivation, character, self-image, attitudes or values, certain areas of knowledge, cognitive or behavioral skills - anything that can be reliably measured or counted, and can significantly distinguish outstanding performance and general performance of individual characteristics (Spencer Jr LM, Spencer SM); Competency model refers to a particular task role as the need to have the competency combined. This paper outlines the competencies and competency models of the theory, discusses the causes for the development of competency, definitions, research methods and competency structure, recalling the competency research results at home and abroad and the latest trends. In this study, commercial banking client manager were tested, using interviews and questionnaires were used to investigate China's commercial banks account manager competencies needed, the study data were a combination of qualitative and quantitative manner. The results showed that: commercial banks account manager competency include managing customer and customer service skills, communication skills, good working attitude, adaptability and flexibility, coordination, market analysis, responsibility, marketing skills, familiar business management knowledge, product innovation, insight, gathering requirements, broaden their horizons and other thirteen aspects. The results of this study may account manager for the commercial banks in the recruitment and selection, training and development, performance evaluation and comprehensive quality evaluation, compensation management, human resources management, career job reference.
