Abstract


This study does a survey on physical self-esteem, interpersonal trust, and psychological well-being of college students. It aims to explore the relationship among the three, and enhance the content of them, which provides theoretical and statistical support for the higher education workers.The study selects 1200 students as objects at random based on class from Hebei Normal University, Hebei University of Science and Technoledge, Hebei Medical University, Hebei University of Economics and Business. The“Physical Self-esteem Scale”“Interpersonal Trust Scale”and“Phychological Well-being Scale”are used to analysis the conditions, features and relations among the physical self-esteem, interpersonal trust and psychological well- being of college students.The main results indicate that:1. The physical self-esteem level is relatively high; interpersonal trust conditions are relatively good; the psychological well-being of the college students is above the medium level.2. The physical self-esteem are affected by gender, hometown and the only child or not apparently. But , it has little relation with grade.3. The interpersonal trust has obvious relationship with hometown. While, the relationship between interpersonal trust and gender and grade is not close.4. The pschological well-being has obvious grade distincion instead of gender. However, hometown and the only child or not has apparent relation with the pschological well-being’s different factors.5. Interpersonal trust plays a partial medium role in physical self-esteem and psychological well-being.It has a direct impact on the psychological well-being. Meanwhile, physical self-esteem not only can affect psychological well-being directly, but also has an indirect influence on it through interpersonal trust.
