Abstract


Jianguo history of the United States is not long , but the creation of the brilliant industrial civilization in human history . Before and after World War II , the market economy of the United States is of extreme prosperity , well-developed scientific and technological strength , a variety of new materials and new technologies emerging , their field of furniture design provides good material carriers and technical support . Furthermore, the introduction of alien design ideas and immigrants of many famous designers , designed to inject new vitality and power of the American furniture . After decades of a collision , the impact of integration and foreign designers practice , the U.S. furniture design developed on the basis of the system of European furniture design evolution tends stereotypes . World War II , American furniture design formation pragmatism and commercialism led design ideas , born out of the American furniture, European furniture design system is beginning to show a distinctive national characteristics , artistic features sleek , practical atmosphere . high art design and aesthetic value , and subsequently developed into an important pole of the world furniture and leading the trend of the future development of furniture to a certain extent . American furniture , whether it is the aesthetic value or the successful development of the Road are worthy of in -depth discussion and research . In this paper, through the in-depth study of World War II American art of furniture design , existing research foundation , the evolution of American Furniture reveal American furniture in the post-World War II development and evolution , as well as political , economic , cultural , religion and other factors.
