Abstract

The tourism industry is booming in China , tourist attractions play an important role . As an important way to foreign tourists scenic basic information as well as the transmission of cultural and tourist attractions translation is very important and necessary . However, the poor quality of the English translation of the many attractions . The many scholars tourist attractions translation did a study and found that many translation errors is the language level , for example , spelling errors , grammatical errors, Chinglish , etc. . Analysis of 30 attractions and its English translation , we find there are many translation errors related to cultural differences between Britain and these differences include the history of the British national differences ; aesthetic differences and structural differences . Newmark text classification theory based on the analysis of these translation errors , and propose two principles of guide tourist attractions translation . These two principles : (1) Information and Cultural Center of translation principles to resolve the translation errors and Cultural Differences ; ( 2 ) tourists translation principle to solve the Chinese and Western structural and aesthetic differences on the translation error. Translate the principles of Information and Cultural Center is the English translation and cultural implication should co-exist in the tourist attractions . Translate relevant cultural information , the translator should cultural information to explain to help visitors to have a better understanding of the attractions as well as the Chinese culture . Introduction of cultural information not directly linked with the attractions , the translator translation can delete the information , or only translated the meaning of the cultural information . The translation principle tourists based translation should be asked readers aesthetic standards and mindset . The tourist attractions translation should attract tourists , which means that the translation should be consistent with the aesthetic standards and the mindset of the target visitors . Under the guidance of these two principles , this paper analyzes several attractions , confirmed that these two principles can be solved with the Sino-British cultural differences relating to the translation error .
