Abstract

So far, Western scholars have done a lot of research on the request of the speech act involved in the study of languages, including English and some other Western language. Some Asian scholars request speech act in Japanese and Korean studies, but these studies by Western request speech act. Chinese scholars Chinese request speech acts conducted in-depth research, and some research to CCSARP as a reference and comparative analysis of English and Chinese Requests. However, the e-mail request verbal behavior research mainly from the point of view of the students and teachers to explore, little multinationals internal Chinese employees angle. Chinese employees subject to the influence of the Chinese culture and values, their use of English has its own language features, it is necessary to discuss the request verbal behavior of Chinese employees in multinational companies environments. Pragmatic Approach of Chinese employees in English email request speech act, the purpose is to analyze the choice request form, request the strategy of choice imposed by the extent of the impact of relevant social factors, such as power, social distance, and request modifiers choice. Meanwhile, through the analysis of real context, the importance of the knowledge used to improve students' knowledge on the development of language and language. Request speech acts for the study of Chinese employees in English, I gathered from the three multinational companies in China to 475 different types of e-mail for work exchange. Among them, 182 belonging to the type of e-mail of the \Found 80 mail belonging directly request verbal behavior, 91 e-mail are Statute indirect request speech act, 11 mail belonging to the Statute indirect request speech act the email sort out these 182 requests. The study found that: (1) Compared with other studies, the Chinese employees with native English speakers the same preference choose doubt statement request speech act statement statements and the imperative statement uses a relatively small proportion, but this does not mean that China Employees avoid users two Sentence request speech act. (2) Digital Statistics show that, in the the 182 request e-mail, the Stipulation indirect request a larger proportion of verbal behavior the direct request speech act, the proportion of the second, the Statute of indirect requests speech act, the smallest percentage. This means that in an e-mail, the Chinese employees tend to use the polite way to send the request. The percentage of this study, two findings with other studies on the spoken and written language differ: (a) request speech act directly in 80 e-mail facilities for the sentence (performatives) is 0. Because China facilities for the staff more inclined to use prevarication the sentence (hedged Performatives) request speech act; (b) Chinese employees are more likely to use the strong implied type (strong hints) Statute indirect request speech act rather than mild implied type (mild hints) non- Statute indirect request speech act. (3) Social factors such as power, social distance, of imposition of an e-mail request for the choice of the speech act with varying degrees of impact. (4) 140 e-mail using the internal modification.
