Cerebral infarction (CI) is due to a disturbance in the blood vessels supplying blood to the brain, resulting in the death of that area of tissue. Mostly cerebral infarction caused by major brain vessel occlusion and brain blood circulation disorders, or cerebral blood vessels and result of the interaction. Since atherosclerosis occurs in the bifurcation of the great vessels and the bend, so cerebral, mainly in the middle cerebral artery and anterior cerebral artery main branches, etc. But its etiology and pathogenesis are unknown.The clinical data are analyzed to find the clinical features of cerebral infarction, such as sex, age, infarct location, underlying diseases, and NIHSS score. At the same time, the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism and sequencing techniques are used to explore the relationships between five SNP points of CRP and the cerebral infarction and to find out the possible gene that causes cerebral infarction.This study found that cerebral infarction mainly happened around the age of 70, and the morbidity of men is slightly higher than that of women. Infarction mainly happened at the basal ganglia, the cerebellum at least. Most patients with underlying diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease, and one of them may be the main induction. Most patients have a lower NIHSS score, which indicates that the prognosis is acceptable. We found no evidence of rs3122012, rs3116653, rs3116654 polymorphisms of CRP gene in the population investigated in Shanghai area. Polymorphisms rs1130864 and rs1205 were identified but there was no statistically significant difference (P> 0.05) between the cerebral infarction (GI) and control group with regard to the distribution of genotypes and allele frequencies. Indicating that the polymorphism of CRP gene rs3122012, rs3116653, rs3116654, rs1130864, rs1205 have no significant correlation with cerebral infarction.
