Abstract


Tibetan drama has a long history and rich cultural background, it plays a large role in the history of Tibetan literature. there are different categories in dramatic literature, according to the nature of conflict and effect that dramatic literature reflected, the dramatic literature can be divided into tragedy, comedy, serious play. Broadly, tragedy is adramatic work about the trials of life, in a limited sense, it is the positive character suffered misfortune in life, and even loss of life. The tragedy in this paper belong to the latter.Creation of a national literature can not accept other peoples social and cultural factors, but absorbing the quintessence of other national cultural is one of the preconditions for continuous development in a nation. Therefore, this paper not only according to the Tibetan literature papers, but also through the comparison about the tragedy of domestic and international literary theory and research methods.《snang sa vod vbum》is the only script based on a true story in eight Tibetan Drama, more analyzing the characteristic feature, factors, portrayal of a person, meaning of《snang sa vod vbum》tragedy.Except for the preface and conclusion, this paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter briefly discusses the origin and the main features of the tragedy.The second chapter elaborates on the formation of the tragedy in《snang sa vod vbum》, and further highlight the performance of a tragic resolution.The third chapter put forth the characterization of《snang sa vod vbum》The fourth chapter describes the tragic significance of《snang sa vod vbum》
