The purpose of this study is to investigate whether it is related to convergence means English professional high grade the quality of students' writing ? Select professional high school students of the two universities in English writing samples from the empirical research in this study . The sample divided into a group of high quality writing group and low - quality writing two groups based on merit , and and Pham Van group selected two essay resource materials from domestic and foreign with data statistical comparison parameters include contrast to Halliday and Hasan five Cohesion ( anaphora, alternative , omit the logical connection language , lexical cohesion ) and convergence errors . After statistical analysis found that ( 1 ) the higher the quality of the writing Cohesion use more ; ( 2 ) more lower quality essay convergence error ; (3) the total number of convergence and writing quality significantly associated with five kinds of convergence way of reference, substitution , and lexical cohesion and writing quality was significantly related omitted and logical access language no significant relationship . It can be concluded , i.e. the effective use of the way of the convergence and has a direct relationship to the Notebook quality . On this basis , the author has in-depth investigation of the convergence of the causes of a specific type of error and error sample . Finally, the author puts forward several suggestions on EFL Writing Teaching .
