Abstract


Open macroeconomic context , the national economic growth can not be separated from the mutual coordination and cooperation , and exchange rate cooperation is one of the important aspects of economic cooperation among the countries . East Asia is one of the most economically active regions in the world today , the exchange rate issue has a major impact on national economies . This article consists of three parts , first analyzed the favorable and unfavorable factors affecting the exchange rate cooperation among countries in the East Asia ; Second, it examines international policy coordination theory ; investigated three scenarios of the theory of the exchange rate cooperation McKinnon program , the exchange rate target zone program and the optimal currency area theory. On this basis , combined with the specific circumstances of the countries in East Asia , with the cooperation of these three options on the exchange rates of the East Asian countries were discussed theoretically . This paper argues that the exchange rate cooperation in East Asia , there are intricate background not consistent attitude of countries to carry out the exchange rate cooperation , the three scenarios theoretical abstraction and covers real complexity . This shows that the exchange rate cooperation in East Asia will be a long and gradual process .
