Objective To investigate the Endoscopic pituitary adenoma resection sphenoid single nostril feasibility , advantages and disadvantages , indications for surgery and clinical application value . Methods MRI diagnosis, use 4mm diameter 0o , 30o endoscopic surveillance endonasal transsphenoidal surgical resection of 19 patients with pituitary adenomas , transsphenoidal resection of the pituitary adenoma development history surgical techniques and indications for surgery were discussed. 14 cases of pituitary adenoma been completely removed, three cases of near-total resection , 2 patients subtotal . 12 patients with preoperative prolactin levels in patients with elevated 11 patients had returned to normal, have different levels of recovery in 17 cases of preoperative visual impairment in 16 patients a week after surgery , all patients with symptoms were relieved . Apart from one patient permanent diabetes insipidus , hypopituitarism , no cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea , intracranial infection , optic nerve damage and internal carotid artery damage and other complications . Conclusion Endoscopic the sphenoid single nostril pituitary adenoma surgery is a simple , safe, minimally invasive minimally invasive neurosurgery new technology . With the endoscope , surgical instruments of further improvement and the continuous improvement of the surgical experience , its clinical application will be more extensive .
