Abstract


After China became a formal member of WTO and began the exchange rate reform, foreign exchange risk and its management has been a real challenge for Chinese MNCs while globalization sped up. Under such circumstances, the paper begins with the theory of foreign exchange risk and its management strategies for multinational corporations in the past 30 years. Then it measures the foreign exchange risk of 194 typical Chinese MNCs with classic method. The paper also presents analysis of the operational hedging strategies and measures the hedging effect through some indexes. The paper presents some management strategy suggestions for Chinese MNCs in the last.
