Abstract


Purpose of E- cadherin protein (E-cadherin, E-cad) is an important cell adhesion molecules and signaling molecules involved in tissue morphogenesis , embryonic development and cell transfer process , its main function as a cell adhesion molecule The control cell migration. Discovered in recent years that it is closely related with tumor development as a tumor suppressor , E-cad suppress the occurrence of human cancer development and transfer process plays an important role . Decrease or loss of expression of E-cad poorly differentiated tumors , invasive growth and metastasis . Precancerous lesions is a normal organization evolved into an intermediate stage of the cancer , histopathological examination of epithelial cell dysplasia phenomenon . White spots on the oral mucosa damage mainly in white , do not have any other definable damage characteristics , is the most common precancerous lesions . Oral squamous cell carcinoma (oral squamous cell carcinoma, OSCC) is the most common cancer of the oral tumor . This study was designed from the protein and gene level detection of E-cad expression in oral leukoplakia and oral squamous cell carcinoma and lymph node metastases by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization method , to explore the role and functions of the E-cad , and to further explore the mechanisms of cancer of the oral precancerous lesions and oral cancer metastasis . Leukoplakia , squamous cell carcinoma and lymph node metastasis specimens and normal mucosa specimens collected clinical and pathological diagnosis of 70 cases , four slices of each specimen were HE staining , immunohistochemistry , in situ hybridization and negative controls , according to immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization results were observed from the protein and molecular levels of E-cad expression in different tissues .
