Objective Preliminary evaluation of the clinical effects and safety of treating cervical erosion, by random, single blind and contrasting c1inic research of Policresulen gel.Methods Select 88 samples with cervical erosion, exclude CIN and early stage uterine cervix cancer, in the principle of random process, divide to testing group ( Policresulen gel treatment group 44cases) and comparison group(Policresulen vaginal suppository treatment group 44cases).The testing group were 32.68±4.43 years old, course of disease were 22.55±17.41 month, 21 cases were mild, 14 cases were moderate, 9 cases were severe, 30 cases were simple, 14 cases were granular, clinical symptom points were 2.73±1.24, The comparison group were 35.64±6.31 years old, course of disease were 22.91±15.81 month, 20 cases were mild, 13 cases were moderate, 11 cases were severe, 32 cases were simple, 12 cases were granular. Clinical symptom points were 2.50±1.01, The two groups were no significant statistic difference (P>0.05)in age, course of disease, the area and type of cervical erosion and clinical symptoms were comparable. Patients in testing group clean pudendum and insert one dose of Policresulen gel deep within the vagina using drug delivery device 3-7 days after menstruation clean before sleeping, every two days for six times. Patients in comparison group clean pudendum and insert one dose of Policresulen vaginal suppository to deep vagina 3-7 days after menstruation clean before sleeping, every two days for six times. During the medical period, the tub bath, sexual activities and other vaginal drugs are forbidden. Then observe the clinical treatment and safety for two teams.Results The significant effectiveness of the Policresulen gel treatment group was 11.36%, the effective rate was 68.18%, the total effective rate was 79.55%, While the Policresulen vaginal suppository treatment group was 15.91%、61.63%、77.27%. There was no significant statistical difference between the two groups on the efficacy (P>0.05).The curative effect of the Policresulen gel was associated with the area and type of cervical erosion,the smaller of the area, the better of the effect, simple cases were better than granular cases, there were significant statistic differences (P<0.05). The clinical symptom points were lower than those before treatment, There was no significant statistic difference between these two groups(P>0.05). There were significant statistic differences between the clinical symptom points before and after treatment (P<0.05). There was no abnormal changes for the two groups in blood routine, urinary routine, hepatic function and renal function after the treatment. Policresulen gel had no harmful reaction, and it was safe and effect in the course of clinical application.Conclusions Observations show that, through statistical analysis, policresulen gel could effectively treat cervical erosion, the curative effect was similar as the Policresulen vaginal suppository, was associated with the area and type of cervical erosion, the smaller of the area, the better of the effect, simple cases were better than granular cases, could significantly improve clinical symptom, has no side effects, clinical applications are shown to be safe and reliable. In conclusion, It has good prospects for clinical application.
