Qaidam Basin is the most serious desertification in China one of the regions , but also the ecological environment is very fragile areas . As for western development , the basin population, construction and development , population and arable land , and resource conflicts between development and environmental protection have been varying degrees in front of us , and these conflicts will be more as time goes on and more prominent, more and more concentrated . It has seriously affected the basin as well as the sustainable economic development of Qinghai Province and the local people's production and life. Therefore, the development of desertification in the region to study the conditions and proposed countermeasures and measures has important practical and theoretical significance. This paper analyzes the Qaidam region's natural geography , environmental geological background, based on the characteristics of desertification , with a focus on the causes of desertification and generation mechanism was discussed . Qaidam region desertification mainly in four aspects : Land gravel desertification , desertification , land salinization and grassland degradation , which causes the formation of natural and anthropogenic causes of result of joint action . Natural causes main aspects of the basin effects ( including abnormal weather , rainfall and evaporation , etc. ) , animal damage effects such as desertification effects , their role is long-term and lasting , desertification major driving force ; anthropogenic causes mainly considered abuse Ken , overgrazing , excessive firewood collection , indiscriminate mining and unreasonable use of water and other resource use in the original desertification occurrence and development plays a role in promoting and inducing .
