Abstract


Since the 1990s, the network at an alarming rate in the global development and rapidly penetrated into all walks of life, for a time, many network functions sprung out new things, network information resources also will be growing and enriched. And there is no uniform standard but due to the complexity of the source of network information resources, and the wide variety of information difficult for users to directly choose and obtain their own professional and specialized information. Subject Information Gateway (Subject Information Gateway, SIG) is based on the environment, specific or multiple disciplines integrate resources, tools and services for the disciplinary information users provide more convenient and efficient retrieval and service interface. At present, a large number of domestic and international academic and research institutions, such as universities, research institutes, the Academy of Sciences, libraries and so began disciplines information portal construction or have been completed. Therefore, the functional integration of the research subject information gateway and establish disciplinary information portal mode to highlight the growing importance and far-reaching significance: on the one hand, can offer constructive ideas to optimize the information resources of the existing disciplinary information portal organizational efficiency, effectiveness and service capabilities; the other hand, can provide for the establishment and development of the new discipline information portal auxiliary theory and practice, to support the right track quickly and efficiently provide services. The architecture of this paper is as follows: The introductory section discusses the current technical conditions, and the users of the network environment, network information distribution and characteristics, and from this discussion of the distribution of the characteristics of its users as a network information service system, an important part of the SIG, demand content and demand characteristics. According to the theory of demand-driven services to the needs of users to launch the relevant aspects of the user-oriented SIG. The first chapter examines the user-oriented organization of subject information gateway resources, and achieve integrated organization for the SIG resource organization functions, SIG resources and SIG disciplinary planning and management of the three parts are discussed. Chapter 2 summarizes the basic functions of the user-oriented subject information gateway configuration, and in accordance with the the current SIG development of functional integration of subject information gateway, mainly including SIG-way information push, digital libraries and thematic advisory services three aspects. The third chapter describes some of the emerging technologies that can support disciplinary information portal development, such as Robot, data warehouse, data mining, intelligent agents, information release, such as information push, and the combination of the characteristics and needs of the user-oriented disciplines information portal visits These technologies applied to the development of the SIG. Chapter IV analyzed on the basis of the evaluation of information systems, information services evaluation the disciplinary information portal information capacity, a subject information gateway information capacity evaluation evaluation system. Chapter V in the first, second and third chapters discussed on the basis of subject information gateway for users to build models, and in accordance with Chapter SIG evaluation system analysis model, and finally put forward several aspects of the optimization program.
