Abstract


Of this research project is divided into three parts : the thermal stability of the CPE , decabromodiphenyl ethane flame retardant ABS development , and the development of halogen - free flame retardant ABS , focuses on the structure and properties of flame retardant ABS , and its resistance ignition mechanism was discussed . Congo red experiments show that the hydrotalcite and dibutyltin laurate and have good thermal stability of the CPE . Combined flame retardants DBDPE / Sb 2 O 3 , ABS retardant properties of the composite to improve the impact strength decreased . When the amount of 14% , ABS flame retardant properties of the composite material to achieve UL94 V-0 level, the impact strength is reduced to pure ABS 130J / m 35J / m, a 73.1% decrease . DBDPE / Sb 2 O 3 is a typical gas flame retardant mechanism . The Add CPE after the ABS composite materials impact strength is greatly increased, when an amount of 28wt% , the impact strength of 130J / m of the pure ABS to 230J / m, 76.9 % . The electron micrograph shows the spherical structure of the dispersed phase in the impact fracture of the CPE / ABS blend elongation deformation occurs , the amplitude of deformation is greater than 100% . Stretching , CPE particles due to being pulled to its equatorial plane position subjected to a large compressive stress and generating elongation more energy leaving the toughness of the blend can be improved , and thus in the force absorbed . The experiments show that there is a synergistic effect between encapsulated red phosphorus and MCA . When the amount thereof is 20wt% , the flame retardant properties of the composite material to reach UL -94 V -0 level . For ABS , RP / MCA is also a good smoke suppressant .
