Belief is a kind of spiritual needs of human; it plays a pretty important role in the development of human society. In the previous time which was dominated by a single culture, human belief in China was always stable and single as well. But, with the Internet Era coming, globalization intensifying and practice of the Reform and Opening-up Policy going, China meets its transition, systems on politics, economics and culture have changed a lot, China is no longer a single-culture-dominated nation but a nation with multi-culture collision, China herself has many cultures. What’s more, there are collisions from the world, e.g. Europe, America, Korea and Japan, and even the newly-created Internet culture, for which people’s way of thinking has been changed a lot and become more and more diverse and free, still something bad, blind. The university is the forefront of cultural collisions. And college students, a special group of the future intellectuals and socialist successors, are impacted in the field of their beliefs, even facing severe challenges. The university man is an extraordinary group. Their belief is the representative of future trend, which concerns not only the future of Chinese and the fate of Communist Party in China but also the cultivation of intellects needed in the communist construction of China and the general situation of it. So it is rather important to evaluate and understand the university man’s belief, that’s why the education system is being reformed and the university’s ideological and political education is paid more and more attention to. So how to guide students to set up scientific outlooks on life, world and ethics, abjectly understand the hard core of Marxism so as to firm student’s belief on Maxims is a question urgently to be answered.According to the survey, the main stream of their beliefs is positive and healthy; still there are some with severe belief problems. This article starts with the definition of belief. Comparing with ideal and conviction, this article clearly expounds the connotation, characteristics and function of belief. What’s more, this part also states the emergence, development and characteristics of scientific belief in Marxism. Then a survey on university man’s belief was made in the way of questionnaire, and the results from every aspect were summarized so as to find out problems existent and analyze them from the perspective of history, society, family, individual, school education and the background of multicultural all-snidely and deeply. Then this article respectively introduces current situation of students’ belief in multicultural context. What’s more, through summarizing the current situation, this article tries to find out the problems existing in the students’ belief, and analysis it from the perspective of history, society, family, individual, school education and the background of multicultural. Finally, based on the special condition in China and the multicultural background, this article tries to find a pertinent way to solve the problems and put forward some effective methods and corresponding countermeasures to guide students to establish and firm their beliefs in scientific Marxism.
