Abstract

With the Unicom CDMA networks turn to be taken over by China Telecom operators, China Telecom's existing CDMA base station construction, expansion, upgrade, renovation has began. The pace of China Telecom's CDMA network construction to start from the following aspects: New large number of outdoor base stations; intensify network optimization; actively to solve the suburbs lack of coverage problems; play to the advantage of the existing fixed network resources, increase the intensity of the indoor coverage. With Telecom took over the CDMA network, combined with existing PHS, wireless broadband WLAN, of 800 megabytes digital cluster and 3G reserve point network, the telecom wireless communication network capacity and network coverage scale than originally have been significantly improved. Proceed with the construction of a large-scale network engineering, telecommunications also attaches great importance to the quality of the network's early forecasting. Before 2008 took over the network, telecommunications organizations relevant departments of the whole network, large-scale DT (Drive Test, test driving test), and subsequently, road test network and telecommunications network organized by the Centre. The purpose of these work, and are committed to the construction in the network at the same time, look for the problems in the existing network, and accumulated experience, and provide the basis for further work and recommendations. In this context, this paper mainly through dense urban area of ??Shanghai 3G wireless network coverage characteristics analysis and research, as well as of CDMA2000 1x EV-DO standard two differences in the link budget, the proposed use of the existing network 2G network coverage The next the DT road test data, through a specific algorithm to predict the future 3G wireless network coverage. Large-scale DT test through the organization of the dense urban areas of Shanghai, carpet research thoroughly the existing 2G network geographic wireless environment, and can be targeted in different population and building density urban research test, and get live road test data, the use of GIS (Geographic Information System, Geographic Information System) software MapInfo and the user system development tools MapBasic programming, forming dense urban 3G wireless network coverage prediction program, and then use the program, combined with on-site road test measured data through the the MapInfo software's data computing functions, the calculation and analysis of data in the different sampling precision, determined like Shanghai's dense urban areas in the case of wireless networks, the use of 10 meters and precision of 6 base stations data analysis, under the premise of guaranteeing quality, highest efficiency conclusion of prediction method by means of computer-aided means of the transformation process and efficient conversion results presented. . And the eventual integration of the program and its data, MapInfo software system, intuitive display DT test results and the existing 2G network, its base station on the geographical environment, for the deficiencies in the existing network and base station and wireless The special nature of the network and its base station within the dense urban areas of the city, provide a strong basis for future 3G network planning and distribution planning and construction of the base station. As the main results of the the software application class papers, the papers, including the analysis of the status quo of the CDMA wireless network, the CDMA business forecast analysis, CDMA wireless network coverage analysis. In this project, I was mainly responsible for the on-site the Road Test assisted program production and network planning, software tools used throughout the project: MapInfo MapBasic.
