Abstract


This thesis studies the creation characteristic of Chinese art song during the 1980’s. By searching for a large number of material and analyzing the creation background of 1980’s art song, this thesis draw a conclusion about the creation characteristic of 1980’s Chinese art song and how it was formed.This paper is made up of 5 chapters. The first chapter, the introduction, covers the purpose and significance of this study, especially points out the content and scope of this study. The second chapter is a summary about the development of Chinese art song before 1980.The third chapter discusses the representation of creation characteristic about the art song during 1980’s: the first representation is the extension of creation subject, the second is the usage of three main techniques in art song creation, and the last is the personal style, era style and region style in art song during 1980’s.The fourth chapter is the conclusion about the factor that forming the creation characteristic: the first is the objective factor, including the recovery of usual teaching activity in music school, the flourish of performance activity, the recovery of main music publication and the creation of music school’s study journal. The second is subjective factor, the liberation of consciousness, the update of creation concept and the injection of multi-culture.The last chapter is the overall discussion of the creation characteristic about the art song during 1980’s, in order to give a positive remark to the importance of the development of the Chinese art song during 1980’s and point out that it has actuality significance for vocal teaching to study the creation characteristic and the works of Chinese art song during 1980’s.
