Abstract


Jiang Guangci is a very conflict existence among the early time left wing revolution writers. The reason lies in the way he deals the relation between a romanticism writer and a member of collective revolutionists. He goes through difficultly between the individuality and the collective all his life. So he shows his particularity both in his woks and in his life role processing.Chapter l:The revolution literature already stared from 1923,it becomes the mainstream of the literary with the historical opportunity offered by "5 · 30 movements ".The famous "Revolutionary literature" debate in 1928 makes a huge function to the development of the revolutionary literature. But the going out of cultivation in creation makes a quite awkward aspect with the development of the reveolutionary literature. Jiang enters the revolutionary literature territory precisely at this time, to some extent his writing which full of individual revolutionary fervor arises at the right historic moment.Chapter 2: Jiang’s individuality pursuing in text gradation lies in his disobeying and exceeding to the creation standard of the revolution literature, including some of which proposed by himself. When he was sent to study abroad in Soviet Union, Jiang accepted the influence of the 19th century Europe romanticism. So his description about the revolution is also full of romanticism imagination after he returned to homeland. His early time works has portrayed many individualistic heroism images, and he has also unfolded the appreciation of drifting. But after he has discovered the rough essence of the revolution, Jiang started to pay attention to the conflict relation between the individual and the revolution. Then love as symbol of the individuality entered the vision of the revolutionary literature. The strangling of love reflected the writers "reforming anxious" from the individual to the collective. The novel The sadness of Lisa is Jiang’s reactionary to the revolutionary literature creation rule proposed by himself, it displayed the writer’s one kind of correction against "the tool theory" ,it is his best work in artistic achievement ,too.Chapter 3: Jiang’s individuality pursuing in life gradation lies in his estrangement to the revolutionary practice under the left lean leadership at that time. To him the choice between a writer and a revolutionist is always a puzzle. The society’s sense of responsibility urges him to take part in the revolutionary practice, but the writer’s status self- approval make him regarded that writing was also a king of revolution. This resisting posture to the left lean route finally leaded to Jiang’s membership dismissed. It is the tragedy of that time.Jiang’s struggle actually is the result of intellectual’s dual personality. His struggle is representative among the left wing camp in 20, 30’s. As for natural disposition Jiang, he" never possibly feels easy in any system " "His truly doomed character causes him inevitable abandoned by the society which helped by him to issue to the goal, in which he proposed the hope"
