Abstract


Propolis (propolis) is a bee resin collected from plants newborn bud , trunk , wounds , etc. , mixed with an aromatic odor processing in the mandibular gland secretions , beeswax , pollen mixed colloidal substances . Propolis is rich in variety of having a physiological , pharmacological active substances . Studies have shown that propolis has a significant role in the inhibition of oral pathogens . Propolis itself is insoluble in water , odor , easy adhesion , limits its wide application . Chewing gum is a happy food , easy to produce, carry convenient to eat . How to overcome the undesirable properties of propolis , which was added to the chewing gum made ??with prevention and treatment of oral diseases functional chewing gum very practical value . This study on effective ingredients of propolis extract the main factors involved : ethanol concentration , extraction time , extraction temperature and ultrasonic treatment time , come to the propolis extract the best process parameters as follows: 80% ethanol concentration , extraction temperature 60 ℃, extraction time 3 h , ultrasonic treatment time 20 min. Under these conditions , the total flavonoids of propolis the extraction rate was 21.4% , dry matter yield of 50.7% . Secondly, in order to solve the propolis poor taste , easy-adhesion applications such bottlenecks us after extraction of propolis to a β-cyclodextrin as wall material embedding the taste of the product after the embedding has been greatly improved, and will not adhere . The antibacterial experiments show that the clathrate oral Streptococcus mutans minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 0.75 %, and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the corresponding pure propolis . Finally, we will be embedding propolis added in different proportions to the chewing gum ingredients made ??of chewing gum , the chewing gum taste and antibacterial ability test to determine the amount of propolis gum formulations propolis inclusion Add 3.00% is appropriate. Gum inhibit Streptococcus mutans capacity can be considerable, and taste there is a greater degree of improvement with the same concentration of propolis . Propolis gum developed in this study provide the basic method and basis and its application in the prevention and treatment of human oral diseases , with a certain value .
