Objective: To detect apolipoprotein E (Apo E) gene polymorphism and explore the Tibetan high altitude areas, the relationship between the Han and Hui essential hypertension (EH). Methods: 67 cases of high altitude area Tibetan hypertension group, the control group 53 cases; Han hypertension group (67 cases), the control group, 64 cases; Hui hypertension group, 48 patients in the control group of 52 cases; blood pressure measurement of all ethnic groups , collecting blood samples triacyl glycerol (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), extract DNA, polymerase chain reaction - restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) DNA polymorphism analysis, electrophoresis to determine genotype. Results: (1) the assay to E2 / 2, E2 / 4, E3 / 3, E3 / 4, E4 / 4 five kinds of genotype is not detected to E2 / 3 genotypes. Han normal control group E3 / 3> E3 / 4> E2 / 4> E4 / 4> E2 / 2, EH group E3 / 3> E3 / 4> E4 / 4> E2 / 4> E2 / 2, two groups between the difference was statistically significant (P = 0.043): Tibetan normal control group E3 / 4> E3 / 3> E2 / 2> E4 / 4> E2 / 4, EH group E3 / E4 / 4> E3 / 3> E2 / 4> E2 / 2, there is a significant difference (P = 0.001), Hui between the two groups showed no significant sex (P = 0.078) between the two groups. Possession (2) Apo E alleles in the normal control group, Han, Hui Three National E2, E3, E4 frequency distribution of the difference was not significant (P = 0.087), while EH between the three ethnic groups this difference was statistically significant ( P = 0.009), Han, Hui mainly to E3 to E4, Tibetan, the Three National E2 were lower than E3 and E4. (3) the three ethnic TG value E4 carriers than E2 carriers (P = 0.019), Tibetans than Han and Hui (P = 0.026,0.020); TC value E4, E3 carriers than E2 carriers (P = 0.010, P = 0.023), Tibetans than Han and Hui (P = 0.019, P = 0.039); LDL-C value E4, E3 carriers higher than E2 carriers (P = 0.001, P = 0.004), at the same time, E4 carriers than E3 carriers (P = 0.046), Tibetans than Han and Hui (P = 0.017, P = 0.026). Conclusions: (1) High Altitude Area Han population ApoE allele frequency distribution has nothing to do with essential hypertension and dyslipidemia. (2) High Altitude Area Tibetan population ApoE E4 allele with essential hypertension, dyslipidemia associated E2 allele and its negative correlation. (3) high-altitude areas Hui population ApoE allele frequency distribution has nothing to do with essential hypertension, and dyslipidemia.
