Abstract


Drama Translation is part of the literary translation , but the drama translation but it has its own characteristics , because, as Susan Bassnett said , only in the performance of them in order to achieve the full potential of the dramatic text . Some translation theorists and translation critic of the drama translation , but in general material rarely more not to mention the translation of Chinese drama . The drama in the modern sense, under the influence of Western theater is an indispensable part of Chinese drama , but also a bright pearl of the treasure house of Chinese art . The translation of the Chinese drama is an effective external communication of the national culture , but still insufficient for the study of Chinese drama translation . Throughout translation of Chinese classical drama and modern drama generated this article outlines the three branches of semiotics - pragmatics , semantics and syntax of basic theory , from the point of view of general significance and semiotics analysis of drama, especially characteristics of Chinese modern drama as a basis , respectively, from the three branches of semiotics to analyze its drama translation . In this paper, Mr. Lao She's masterpiece \On this basis , the article tries to translate the recommendations of the few Chinese drama , hope to provide some inspiration for other forms of drama translation .
