Abstract


The thesis aims at revealing the real aspect of Wang Shen’ s Wei Shu and recognizes Wei Shu’ s value again. The preface summarizes the achievements of researches on Wang Shen’ s Wei Shu and the main thought of this thesis. The body of thesis consists of four parts: First, author gives an account of Wang Shen’ s life story and investigates in particular Wang Shen’ s the origins of his clan and his family’ s long tradition of learning. Second, author discusses about the condition of the historiographic development during Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties, pointing out the numbers and traits of the historical books about the Three kingdoms, further illustrating the situation of citing Wang Shen’ s Wei Shu in Pei Songzhi’ s note. Third, the thesis narrates the historical materials source and the historical records style of Wang Shen’s Wei Shu and puts stress on proving the value of historical material of Wang Shen’ s Wei Shu. Fourth, the thesis points out Wang Shen’ s position and influence in history during Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties by means of demonstrating Wang Shen’ s politics views and historical thoughts. Finally, on the basis of full affirmation the value of Wang Shen’ s Wei Shu, author dare to doubt conventional versions and be blind to believe in those which is very important to- history study.
