Abstract


Office Automation is a comprehensive technology to meet the rapid increase of office work. Its basic tasks are to handle part of office jobs with advanced technology and various apparatus to improve the efficiency and the quality of office work.This thesis studies the origin and development of office automation and analyzes its current situation and trend. Through the analysis and comparison of the strengths and weaknesse of different development platforms the thesis summerizes the characteristics of some development platforms. According to the need of Tianjin Conservatory of Music, the thesis puts forward the design principles and the functions of the system. In addition, the thesis analyses the architecture of office automation software, especially the client-server/server mode and browser/server mode. The advantages and disadvantages of these two systems are compared in this thesis. This design adopts the technique of Structs and mysql and the struture of browser/server to realrealize the OA system. The realized online system provides an efficient solution for Tianjin Conservatory of Music
