Abstract

Zhuxi was an epitomizer of Confucian in Song Dynasty. His Confucian thought and philosophy achievement had gotten extensive concerns. Maybe it just his Confucian identity and his great achievement in Confucian covered his achievement as a poet, and so that they covered up his position as "a great poet in Neo-Confucian" in a long time. Zhuxi’s poem had distinctive position in Song Dynasty, his poem was top notch not only in quantity but also in quality in Song Dynasty’s Confucian poem school. But this didn’t lead to people to take it seriously. This condition is a flaw to the comprehensive research of Zhuxi’s learning and culture achievements. The thesis tries to give prominence to Zhuxi’s charm as a poet by way of studying his creating poem background, poem thought and philosophy poem.Song Dynasty was an era that advocated literature. This era’s character infected Zhuxi. And this made Zhuxi have dense feeling to poem in his early life. He had created more than 1300 poems in his seventies life. Song Dynasty was also an era that advocated Confucian. Traditional Confucian revived in Song Dynasty. Confucian permeated every aspect of people’s lives, and literature was included. Zhuxi’s poem thought was guided by his Confucian thought, and these poems thought also directed his poem creation.Zhuxi’s philosophy poem took much proportion in his works. His philosophy poems can be divided in pure philosophy poem, ethics poem, reflecting history poem and wisdom poem according to their philosophy aroma. All these poems contained Zhuxi’s philosophy attainments and living wisdom. In art, they emerged in mild and distant aesthetic style in entire. They emerged in fresh and natural in language, flat and refined in image, plentiful in implication, profound and far-reaching in appealing. Of course, Zhixi also had some poor philosophy poems which lack poem taste and Confucian interest. But we must realize that the majority of his poems brought endless recall and taste and deep enlightenment to descendants. These poems had distinctive style, and they not only influenced many poets in all the past dynasties but also influenced other orient nations’ poets. The poem’s philosophy wisdom leads us to make deep thinking in today.Zhuxi was not only a philosopher, but also emerged a poet’s elegant demeanor. There were still many people who were not only poets but also philosophers in ancient time. Philosopher and poet, poet and philosopher, combining both aspects of them provides a new research way when we research ancient’s "poet of philosopher" and "thought of poet".
