High Pressure Common Rail Diesel Engine Fueled with Biodiesel test under different atmospheric pressure

The finiteness of petroleum resources on the earth and the significance of protection environment have been promoting the research and development of substitute fuel for diesel engine. Biodiesel are reproducible fuels which contain oxygen, possessing remarkable environment protection value. So exploring ethanol and biodiesel as substitute fuels applying for the diesel engine has great significance for energy saving and emission reduction.The testing and research results indicate that when the engine was fueled with biodiesel-diesel blends, comparing with pure diesel at full load, the torque and power of engine decline, brake specific fuel consumption increasing, and soot emission decrease. With the proportion of biodiesel increasing in the blends, amplitude of variation increases. Comparing with pure diesel at part load, brake specific fuel consumption increasing, and soot emission decreases. With the proportion of biodiesel increasing in the blends and the rising in atmospheric pressure, amplitude of brake specific fuel consumption increases. When a high pressure and common rail diesel engine is fueled with biodiesel-diesel blends, soot emission declines comparing with pure diesel, and the declining amplitude increases with the rotating speed and、load and the proportion of biodiesel in the blends increasing.Experimental results show that:the fuel burning under the same external characteristics of the dynamic trend was a positive trend the ratio of air pressure changes; burning of different fuels, at the same pressure, with the mixed bio-diesel blended fuel ratio increase in a certain dynamic range are reduced. Compared with pure diesel, B30 decrease the power of the 3%-11.5%,B50 of the dynamic decrease of 6%to 14%. Burning fuel efficient hybrid fuel consumption rate is higher than pure diesel fuel, under different pressures, B30 of the rise was 4.07%-10.45%, B50’srise of 5.23%-13.82%. Fuel mixed fuel smoke emissions are lower than pure diesel, B30 of the Carbon Emissions drop 7.7%-57.69%, B50 of the decline of 15.4%to 75%, with the increase in the proportion of bio-diesel soot emissions decreased rate increases. B0, B30 and B50 the best kind of fuel injection timing, the economy, power and other parameters were the same ariation of burning bio-diesel fuel injection timing under the best atmospheric pressure change is not obvious. With pure diesel fuel compared to the emission of biodiesel is lower than pure diesel fuel temperature, mixing ratio increases the exhaust temperature is further reduced. In the other power conditions, fueled with biodiesel blends, the same burst pressure cylinder under pressure generally higher than pure diesel, the difference between the two with the increase of pressure.
