Abstract

In order to suit the increasingly complex and dynamic environment and acquire sustainable competitive advantage, the core competences of enterprise must be replaced dynamically and continuously. The kind of core competence that can renew itself and can generate new competitive advantage with the passage of time is called dynamic core competence. Here“dynamic”means the rapid renewal ability of core competence to cope with the changing eternal environment.“Competence”emphasizes on continuously adjusting, integrating and regenerating the organizational skills, resources and functions in and out enterprise to meet the demand of changing circumstances.The dynamic core competences manifest as the integrating ability of internal and external resources. Besides, they must have capabilities of all dimensions in the capability matrix during running process and should give feedback on interaction of capabilities. Also, dynamic core competences must form new capabilities during the dynamic development of all dimensions. So, dynamic core competences are comprehensive capabilities of higher level and determine the character and border of enterprises.The construction of core competence should match the changes of internal and external environment the enterprises faces. Whether the core competence can develop dynamically is determined by whether the innovation and self-mastery can coordinate with the internal and external environment. In this sense, the dynamic core competence of enterprise is the effectively technological innovation ability in essence. The carrier of technological innovation ability is the present intellectual resources and organizational abilities of enterprise. They activate the resource potentiality and innovation ability of enterprise through the accumulating innovation process of organization and adjust and improve the R&D, manufacturing, marketing abilities to achieve sustainable competitive advantages in the end.
