Abstract

In this paper, we report a facile solution-based route for the synthesis of8-hydroxyquinoline Metal (Mqn) Nanomaterials. The composition, morphology and structure of the as-prepared products were confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM),The as-prepared8-hydroxyquinoline metal nanomaterials (Mqn) exhibited excellent electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) behaviour, which might have potential application in the fabrication of ECL sensors. The main contents as follows:(1) Fabrication of uniform octahedral8-hydroxyquinoline zinc (Znq2) and its electrogenerated chemiluminescenceWell-defined Znq2octahedra were synthesized via a facile solvothermal route. Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images show that the as-prepared product is octahedral structure with edge length of about2μm. The reaction parameters, such as solvent, reaction time and temperature, played an important part in the morphology control of the product. A possible formation mechanism for Znq2octahedra was proposed. The as-prepared Znq2octahedra exhibited excellent electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) behaviour, which might have potential application in the fabrication of ECL sensors.(2) Synthesis of8-hydroxyquinoline Cadmium (Cdq2) nanobelts with enhanced electrogenerated chemiluminescence properties8-hydroxyquinoline Cadmium (Cdq2) nanobelts with width of100-200nm and lengths of0.5-2μm have been successfully synthesized through a facile solvothermal method at120℃for24h. The composition, morphology and structure of the as-prepared products were confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Experiment results indicated that the concentration of ethanol played an important effect in the morphology of the final products. Moreover, the electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) properties of the Cdq2sample with different morphologies were investigated. The ECL spectra show that the Cdq2nanobelts exhibited excellent electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) behavior.(3) Sonochemical fabrication of8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum (Mnq2) nanorods with high electrogenerated chemiluminescence.Well-defined Mnq2Nanorods were fabricated via a facile and fast sonochemical route. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the structure and shape of the as-prepared product. The results showed that the resulting Mnq2was composed of Nanorods with thickness about50nm, average widths of200nm, and length up to10μm. The Mnq2Nanorods exhibited good electrogenerated chemiluminescence behavior.
