Rorschach Inkblot Method （RIM） is projective test. There are many researchersuse it and it’s wide use. However, there are many controversies about it, especiallyabout its validity. Although the reliability and validity of NEO PI-R is better andacceptable, as the self-report, there are some disadvantages. First, subjects oftenpretend themselves and don’t display their real thoughts; second, subjects don’tcareful or reluctant for the tests, which is contrary to the willingness of researchers;finally, because of social desirability, subjects will choose social acceptable items.While RIM don’t require directly analysis of themselves, the purpose is not obvious,which can avoid the social desirability effect to make up the disadvantages ofself-report. The purpose of the present study is to test the validity of RIM using inChina through the relations of RIM, NEO PI-R and performances.The present study investigated 143 colleges, editing the RIM and NEO PI-R, andgaining the performance from their counselor. And then, the present study usedcorrelation analysis and regression analysis to examine the relations of RIM, NEOPI-R and performances. The results are as follows:1.The results of the relationship between RIM and performances are:performances and FQxo、FQxu、Xu%、XA%、WDA% are positively related,performances and FQ-、FQx-、X-%、EⅡ-2、W:M are negatively related.2.The results of the relationship between NEO PI-R and performances are:warmth, assertiveness, activity, positive emotions of extraversion, aesthetics ofopenness, order, dutifulness, achievement striving, self-discipline ofconscientiousness, extraversion and conscientiousness positively correlates withperformances.3.Some variables of Rorschach and 5 dimentions and 30 faces are related,whilesome are not.4.Because the entering of Rorschach（X-%，W:M）, the prediction is increased onthe basis of Big-five.
