In the impact of "The central committee of the communist party’ s decision about major issues on deepening reform of the cultural management system, and promoting socialist cultural greater development and prosperity", which was passed in the sixth plenary session of17th people’s congresses, a cultural development in our country is greatly booming. As an important part of the cultural development, the development of the sports culture is being accounted of. Human is the effective carrier of sports culture. Sport programs on TV are the window to spread sports culture. It has extensive audiences, and the humane value is paid attention to in them. And in all of the sport programs, TV sport figures feature program is developing in the background of sport events held successfully. It not only added the sport programs form, enriched the connotation of sport programs, and emphasized on propagandizing the spirit of sports and highlighting human care based on sport figures characterization. It is the best way to spread modern sports culture.This paper used journalism, communication principle and sports science theory, selected "My Olympic" program as a typical case, comprehensively analyzed present situation, the features, spread characteristics, audience and so on of the TV sport figures feature program. At last, it found out the existing problems and put forward the thinking about the solution to the problems. This study researched and analyzed objects comprehensively through the literature material method, case analysis and logic analysis, then came to conclusions as follows:1. TV sport figures feature program is effective carrier of sports culture spread. It promoted the spirit of sports culture development and Chinese sports culture inheritance by emphasizing the humanistic care and mining the contents of sports culture. It has potential and the market.2. On the topic selection, TV sport figures feature program has characteristics as follows:authenticity and artistic, concurrently timeliness and culture, variety and specificity. On the program-making, it’s with the characteristics of younger team, professional planning, long production cycle, emotional content, and branding packed. Because most audiences are not sports fans, it’s appropriate for non-professional sport channels.3."My Olympic" has new form, and it used the opportunities of the large sport events such as Olympics to realize the diversified spread platform and succeed. It has special significance for TV sport figures programs. But for some of the objective and subjective reasons, it failed to form a brand and become the norm program.4. TV sport figures programs developed slowly in existing system, and the reasons are:the restriction of TV system and sports system; the low populace to the sports figures, the non-professional production team.5. The development of TV sport figures programs can be raised in the following four aspects: Continue to deepen TV system and sports system reform in our country, and the contact between them; Understand our modern sports culture connotation and accurate the program position; Realize the broadcast through non-professional sports channels based on the opportunity of large events, and cultivate sports audience on television; Improve program creator and reserve personnel’s quality, training sports enthusiasm and the professional of creators.
