Laparoscopic assisted radical gastrectomy learning curve. Methods A retrospective analysis from January 2007 to November 2008 in our department to carry out laparoscopic-assisted radical gastrectomy early clinical data of 150 patients , divided into 3 groups according to surgical sequence (A, B, C group ) , each group 50 cases of patients in each group , the operation time , blood loss, laparotomy rate , number of lymph node dissection and postoperative anal exhaust time, postoperative hospital stay and postoperative complication rates were compared . Results The clinical data of the comparison group showed no significant difference (P gt; 0.05). Operative time in group B (258.8 ± 65.9min), C group (240.6 ± 46.5min) than in group A (318.0 ± 42.4min) decreased significantly (P lt; 0.05); B, C difference between the groups was not statistically significance (P gt; 0.05). Blood loss in group B (61.2 ± 67.8ml), C group (59.3 ± 100.3ml) than in group A (99.0 ± 77.0ml) decreased significantly (P lt; 0.05); B, C difference between the groups not statistically significant (P gt; 0.05). Laparotomy rate : A group of 18.0% (9/50), B group, 4.0% (2/50), C group, 2.0% ( 1/50 ) , three groups of patients laparotomy rate difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05). Number of lymph node dissection group B (28.2 ± 9.2个), C group (29.1 ± 7.0 unit) than in group A (24.6 ± 6.8 unit) increased , the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05); B, C between groups the difference was not statistically significant (P gt; 0.05). Anal exhaust time in group B (3.4 ± 0.8天), C group (3.6 ± 0.8 days) than in group A (4.7 ± 1.3 days) decreased significantly (P lt; 0.05); B, C group no statistically significant difference between (P gt; 0.05). Postoperative hospital stay in group B (13.7 ± 4.4天), C group (12.5 ± 5.6 days) than in group A (15.6 ± 7.0 days) decreased significantly (P lt; 0.05); B, C difference between the groups not statistically significant (P gt; 0.05). Incidence of postoperative complications : A group 12.0% (6/50), B group, 10.0% (5/50), C group, 12.0% ( 6 /50 ) , three groups of patients the incidence of postoperative complications was no statistical significance (P gt; 0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopic radical gastrectomy learning curve is about 50 cases , after surgical operation can achieve a more proficient level.
