Abstract


Samuel·P·Huntington, a famous politician, is well-known in international politics study for his keen insight and unique theoretical style. The book, Political Order in Changing Societies, is recognized as classic modernization theory of representative. This book has breadth of knowledge on developing countries and analytical insight is amazing. The book, The Third Wave: Democratization in the Late Twentieth Century, building democracy in developing countries gave valuable advice. Study on democracy and stability of Huntington’s theories, no doubt of great theoretical and practical significance. This article attempts to sort out Huntington’s stable democracy, a more clearly logical thinking, so as to provide some useful inspiration of democratic political development in contemporary China.This paper on the stability of democratic ideas of Huntington mainly from five aspects:First, decrypts on Huntington’s life and academic attainments. And the author listed in his influential book according to chronological order.Secondly, the paper discusses the stability of democratic ideology of the historical background.
