News discourse as a main way of the mass media, not only to provide people with information and entertainment, while subtly influence and change people's perception, behavior and values. It is widely believed that the news discourse is true, accurate, neutral. But this view by scholars of various fields, especially in critical discourse analysis scholars questioned. They are committed to the ideology and power relations implicit in news discourse and ideologies prevalent in language, language ideologies and power relations in the social practice. Review of the literature, we found that the critical discourse analysis study conducted by scholars focused on the political, economic, cultural, and war and strike news discourse analysis of news discourse about natural disasters but no cause for concern. The research is confined in foreign news discourse or research on domestic news discourse, comparative research methods is neither comprehensive nor systematic. In this paper, the above reference to the basis of previous studies, according to Halliday's Systemic Functional Grammar (1985) and Harkin critical discourse analysis tools (1997), a set of analytical methods. Research from the three levels of the chapters, sentences, vocabulary, use of the front, pictures, themes, verbal expression, voice, default, innuendo and connotation of the eight categories in the China Daily and the Guardian about the earthquake in Sichuan 20 The news discourse qualitative and quantitative analysis, further reveals the relationship between language, ideology and rights. The study found that indeed there are different ideologies and power relations \This further confirms the critical discourse analysis scholars that the key point: Language is not a neutral medium, but a social practice, is a means to express their ideologies and power relations. Second, set analysis method has been preliminarily verified. Basically suitable for the analysis of news discourse of natural disasters on the news media at home and abroad. Meanwhile, this paper reveals the relationship between ideology and rights of the role of language, to provide people with the critical perspective of a news discourse analysis to help develop people's awareness of critical reading, and enhance people read domestic and international news discourse judgment, to further raise awareness of the use of language appreciation and criticism.
