Abstract


The discourse generated and discourse understanding the two main themes of pragmatic research . Relevance Theory proposed language studies provide a new theoretical framework and research perspective , it laid the foundation for cognitive pragmatics and pragmatic research focus of the school transferred to the understanding of the discourse from the discourse generated . According to relevance theory , discourse comprehension involves decoding and reasoning , and need two basic tools: characterization and calculation . On this basis , related theorists (Blakemore, Wilson Sperber) distinguish between two basic coding significance : associated with the characterization of the concept of meaning and significance associated with the calculation procedures . Experienced rapid development since the introduction of procedural meaning in Relevance Theory Online Reference , \number . The meaning of the program has played an important role in the recent developments of relevance theory , this domestic system , a detailed study of the literature , however , rarely . This paper attempts to the meaning of the program from the proposed development status more systematic and detailed description , and discuss some hot issues and research . This paper is composed of five parts . The first chapter is the full text of an introduction, the research topic of this article , the purpose and significance of the research , as well as the full text of the framework structure . Chapter discourse comprehension and relevance theory , first introduced the three main modes of discourse understanding : language code mode, the mode of reasoning and express - mode of reasoning , then describes the basic framework of relevance theory . The third chapter discusses some of the hot issues on the meaning of the program : how to distinguish between the concept of the significance and meaning of the program , the true value of the significance of the concept / program meaning distinction between the true value / non distinguish whether the isomorphism problem , the classification of the procedural meaning , the meaning of the program semantics / pragmatics distinction problem . Chapter detailed analysis of the significance of language expressions types of coding procedures , such as the words connected language , pronouns , tone directive agentive / attitude skit word . Chapter V of the full text and summarized , and pointed out the lack of research and future research directions .
