Objective: This study assumes that montelukast can improve the clinical symptoms of bronchiolitis and the airway hyperresponsiveness secondary lesions . Methods: From November 2007 to March 2008 , the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical Pediatrics , the Urumqi Children's Hospital of Pediatrics , the Military General Hospital, pediatric children with bronchiolitis were hospitalized and 400 met the inclusion criteria , were randomly divided into four groups were given conventional treatment ( control group ) , the conventional treatment Gabe budesonide inhalation seven days ( in the budesonide group ) , the conventional treatment Jia Menglu Division special the oral seven days ( montelukast short-range group ) and 28 days ( montelukast the specialty process group ) to observe the clinical efficacy , the average length of stay , total IgE , ECP , change , and 1 to 1.5 years of follow - up , the number of recurrent wheezing and asthma incidence statistics bronchiolitis . Results: The baseline comparability . Among the four groups in the number of days of hospitalization , symptom score improvement was no significant difference , pairwise comparisons was no significant difference ; the budesonide group and the control group on total IgE, ECP level changes , future wheezing attack a number of times , the incidence of asthma was not statistically significant . Montelukast short-range group , the montelukast specialty process group and the control group , the budesonide group montelukast between short- and long-range group statistically significant difference between the above indicators . Conclusion : Not found seven days to improve the acute phase of bronchiolitis and bronchiolitis secondary airway responsiveness lesions inhaled budesonide , montelukast can not alleviate the acute symptoms of bronchiolitis , but can improve bronchiolitis secondary the airway hyperresponsiveness lesions , namely to reduce the future number of recurrent wheezing , reduce the incidence of asthma after bronchiolitis better than the short course and long course of treatment group group .
