Abstract


As Internet technology matures and the information superhighway , more and more application servers running on the Internet was developed and deployed . These servers and services on the network hardware and software system requirements as 7 × 24 hours to provide service , but because the application logic as often as business needs change, its stability can not be guaranteed. To provide for the application server through the network management system can detect system failures and performance bottlenecks found to provide statistical data to improve service quality to provide support. As an application service support system, it was built by the time and cost constraints , the limited cost under the system that has the ability to quickly build a broader application of significance. SNMP network management protocol is the de facto standard for Internet network management , which has its simplicity , effectiveness and scalability characteristics of the architecture constituted by the management and agent , between management and agent management via SNMP protocol to exchange information . Resources to be managed by the Structure of Management Information SMI definition, all managed resources form a tree-structured database MIB. By AGENT station MIB objects defined literacy to achieve monitoring function. Management station and the standard definition of MIB AGENT achieved through a loosely coupled , and add new resources to be managed , just need to import their SMI defined and configured accordingly , without modifying the management station program can be realized on the new managed object monitored. To achieve network management system, SMI managed resource description , respectively, to achieve AGENT and the management station is the main work . And such work has a wealth of open source software and auxiliary tools support to simplify the implementation process . In this paper, network messaging application server needs to build messaging application server management system . By studying the problem domain NMS and SNMP network management to achieve the basic structure , determine system solutions . Combined with software development kit for SNMP AGENT, use of existing open source SNMP network management tools , to build SNMP-based network management platform , to achieve the messaging application server's network management, network management platform to build low-cost rapid propose viable solutions.
