Abstract

Objective To observe the hepatitis B vaccine and then the immune effect of supplemental vitamin A (VA) infants. 10 January 2009 - March 2008, in the rural areas of Shandong Linyi Mouxiang recruitment township all national EPI conventional full vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine and parents hepatitis B history infants 7-36 months of age, and to detect its serum anti-hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs) concentration on the lower level of 100 serum anti-HBs infants, randomized, randomized, double-blind, the VA intervention of the placebo-controlled trial. The VA supplement three months, using a commercially available cod liver oil as a VA supplements 15d supplement once every 25,000 IU supplement a total of six times; control group received an equal volume of corn oil. Intervention after the trial began, 30d and 60d, re-vaccination of hepatitis B vaccine to infants, serum samples collected on day 90 infants. Infant serum VA concentration was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) before and after the intervention trial. Electricity chemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA) Determination of serum anti-HBs levels. 74 infants completed the full intervention trial results, the test and control groups of 37 each, of which 16 cases were lost to follow (nine cases of the test group, the control group, n = 7), 7 cases containing the VA nutritional supplements by excluding the own additional taking two cases (test group, the control group, n = 5), blood collection failed three cases (test group 2 patients in the control group, n = 1). Serum VA levels in the two groups of children before the intervention and no difference in the level of anti-HBs (all P gt; 0.05). After the intervention, the serum VA concentration of the the VA supplement group of children, serum anti-HBs levels are higher than the control group (404.1 ± 123.1μg / L vs240.8 ± 92.8μg / L and 2737.2 ± 2492.6 mIU / mL vs 1199.7 ± 2141.6 mIU / mL, all P lt; 0.05). VA supplementation group weak, hepatitis B vaccine response rate (0) less than the control group (4%). Conclusions complement VA can significantly improve the infants of hepatitis B vaccine and then immune serum level of anti-HBs, the VA nutritional status is an important factor to ensure that the effect of hepatitis B vaccine. The purpose about some major cities of infant feeding status quo, provide the basis for conducting nutrition education to improve infant and young child feeding conditions. Preventive care clinics in three cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Qingdao two of the top three hospitals, come 1773 cases of parents of infants 5-14 months of age for vaccination, feeding status questionnaire, simultaneous measurement of infants child growth and development indicators. The results the infant groups gender balance of the survey, the average age was 9.1 ± 2.3 months of age, Qingdao infant months of age slightly higher, infant growth and development of desirable 1246 cases (70.3%, including 431 cases in Beijing, Tianjin and 385 cases, Qingdao 430 cases). Three urban infants born after the first bite of food eat how much of proportion, followed by infant formula milk, of Whitewater, breast milk, sugar, milk, Beijing followed by breast milk, infant formula; Tianjin order Whitewater, sugar, etc. ; Qingdao order of infant formula milk, breast milk, and so on. Three-city infants the basic exclusive breastfeeding time average duration of 2.8 months, Qingdao average duration of 2.5 months, mean duration of 3.3 months in Beijing, Tianjin mean duration of 3.8 months; the three cities infants breastfeeding duration averaged 7.1 for 7.3 months, 6.4 months in Beijing, Qingdao, Tianjin, 7.6 months; Three-city infants 6 months of breastfeeding was 89.6% (1588 people, including 574 in Beijing, 461 in Tianjin, Qingdao 553), 6-month basic exclusive breastfeeding rate was 33.6% (597 cases, of which 115 cases in Beijing , 253 cases in Tianjin, Qingdao, 553 cases). Food supplement food according to their proportion of the number of order of egg yolk, rice, fruit (vegetable) juice and other foods, homemade. Infants taking nutrient supplements change according to their proportion of the number of order vitamin AD, calcium, probiotics, DHA, zinc, iron, Colostrum, protein powder, other, Beijing is followed by calcium, vitamin AD prebiotics such as bacteria, zinc, Tianjin order vitamin AD, calcium, probiotics, such as iron the Qingdao vitamin AD, calcium, DHA, zinc. Conclusion cities in infants and young children, there are still feeding the problem of irrational, need to be given the appropriate nutrition promotion and education.
