Abstract


The development of language teaching theory , Intercultural Communication growing demand and accelerated process of globalization , and that the fundamental purpose of the English teaching is to develop the ability of students in English Intercultural Communication . English teaching is not only to train the basic skills of the language , learning and training should be placed into the background of the culture of teaching , and ultimately enable students acquire intercultural communicative competence . In recent years, how the cultural awareness of students of the language , and then developed into a cultural communicative competence has become a major research projects for college English teaching reform , increasingly important for the majority of experts , scholars, teachers , a large number of related monographs and papers have come out , the initial formation of the study of intercultural communication system . But in college English teaching how to cultivate students' cross-cultural awareness and enhance their intercultural communicative competence , is still a pending in-depth study in the field . This thesis : University Non-English Majors cultural awareness and intercultural communicative competence actually happened? Cultural teaching which methods can help improve students' intercultural communicative competence ? In this paper, these two conducted in-depth research . The author carried out in accordance with relevant theory in a semester 's time experiment, students twice a social culture test and a questionnaire survey , the results proved that the culture of effective teaching strategies suggested in the previous chapter , in training college students culture awareness and enhance their intercultural communicative competence is feasible . Of College English Teachers in the correct use of these cultural teaching strategies to promote the culture of teaching carried out in English teaching .
