Abstract

Since China 's accession to the WTO , the domestic market gradually developed , many foreign home appliance products to enter the Chinese market . Order to be able to dominate the market , to attract consumers , product brochures as product attachments also attracted the attention of people . Manual translation quality issues became the focus of attention . The translation is accurate , detailed, clear instructions not only allows consumers to understand the use of the product , to reduce unnecessary trouble , and also be able to increase consumer interest in the product , enhance the corporate image . In the country , few studies involving manual translation only been mentioned in the study of scientific English translation . And these studies mainly to introduce the method of translation , the lack of theoretical knowledge and integrity . And , as a practical style , the manual has its own characteristics , and should therefore be in-depth study of the system manual translation . This paper attempts based on the theoretical framework of discourse analysis , and analysis from the point of view of the discourse function of home appliances manual translation .
