Abstract


Dong Leshan is a senior translator and a true sense of the scholars, he is fluent in English, have strong Chinese base. His translations can be voluminous, and quality. Dong Leshan renowned translation of the altar with its unique translation choices. However, few scholars to study the deep-seated reasons that contributed to the translation Dong Leshan select the translation as well as his unique characteristics, which is what this article attempts to explore the problem. Dong Leshan translated select and translate thinking on the basis of the relevant literature, a descriptive study and practice of translation to make the tentative assessment, to learn the essence from the Dong Leshan translation activities and practice of translation for China translation career development to provide a space for thinking. In this paper, the ups and downs of life experiences of Dong Leshan, chronological order of several factors that may affect their translation choice, namely nationalism, the yearning for democracy and humanism.
