Abstract


Hayao Miyazaki’s cartoon film has won countless audiences around the world because of its unique plot structure, smooth shot, true to life drawing, melodious sounds of music, full character figures, colorful space-time background, metaphor images with profound significance. The narration research on Hayao Miyazaki’s cartoon films not only deepen the understanding of the Hayao Miyazaki’s cartoon film, but also expands the application of narrative theory critical theory , not only contributed to the development of animation, but also has an important inspiration for animation industry in China. The first chapter "Hayao Miyazaki animated film narrative structure" has two sections: in the section I, Hayao Miyazaki animated film narrative structure was divided into two modes: dramatic structure, and prose structure; In the section II, according to the subjects, Hayao Miyazaki animated film was divided into "the natural theme" films and "the growing-up theme" films, summarized each of these two types of constant film plot structure, namely:“Breach-Disaster-Redemption”and“Departure-Ordeal- Regression”. Chapter II“Hayao Miyazaki animated film narrative symbols”, analyses Hayao Miyazaki films from several angles such as the scenery shot, angle, color, lighting, theme music, the relationship between music and picture, respectively analyze the camera lens symbols, drawing symbols and music symbols. Chapter III,“Hayao Miyazaki animated film narrative content”. This chapter analyzes the role set, space-time background, and the metaphor of the Hayao Miyazaki cartoon film.
