Abstract

This paper is taking Baishuijiang Nature Reserve for example, protecting multi-target species as the protective objects. Processing a GIS regional analysis to the Giant Panda, the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey(Rhinopithecus roxellana) and the golden takin(Budorcas taxicolor) stocks in this reserve. Combing these data, using ArcGIS, setting factors like food, water, hidden objects, etc. as the main influence factors. By analyzing eco-adaptation index, then obtain the conditions of vegetation resources, topography and human disturbance in Baishuijiang Nature Reserve. Thus this paper obtained the following major results:1. It is effective to construct a nature reserve for rescuing protection of the endangered species. Only this can we have a most useful protection of the natural resource and landscape resources, supply a better environment for wild animal, and ensure a healthy development of population. Moreover, the construction of nature reserve can be an eco-barrier of surrounding area, and a natural store of species resource and eco-system.2. The suitable habitat area of Giant Panda is 2385 1hm2 in conversational core area, and it is 10895hm2 for Rhinopithecus roxellana,8446hm2 for Budorcas taxicolor. Moreover, the niche of target species is overlapping in the conversation area.3. The function area is setting reasonable in Baishuijiang Natural Reserve, and it can have an effective protection to at least 65% wild habitat in the core area. Meanwhile, with the habitat fragmentation and the interference of human activity becoming obviously, protection and management efforts is needed.4. By GIS, it can supply us a protective strategy for the decision-makers, and a reliable scientific basis for the construction and development of natural reserve. However, interior data analysis rely on the basis of regular wild monitoring data, so that the accuracy of final results will be decided by the data resources, the setting of monitoring transect and the data quality.
