Abstract


As one of China's largest port and trading city in the Song and Yuan Dynasties ancient city of Quanzhou , the development of today , its street space to form the structure of the city has a unique self-organization . In this paper, the use of space syntax theory space of the streets of the ancient city of Quanzhou quantitative research , which reveals its internal organization law . The first two chapters introduce the background and significance of the research on the street space as a research object and space syntax theory as a research method and instructions in this article relates to the Space Syntax theory and specific methods of operation ; first three chapters a detailed review of the historical background of the Ancient City neighborhoods ; Chapter IV of the overall fabric of space in Quanzhou multi-angle syntactic variables analysis shows that the most active six walk -scale inner city since the organization's core blocks of this chapter Quanzhou overall urban spatial configuration urban functions between resolution, commercial and financial sites were investigated , the relationship between the urban public green space , administrative office space and urban space fabric ; Chapter V in order to better understand the core neighborhoods play a different role in the history and the present first examine the core neighborhoods with the Song and Yuan dynasties , modern , and the moment the Ancient City overall structural relationship . The sixth chapter summarizes the first few chapters in the outcome of conclusions . In this paper, the quantitative analysis of the scientific method to fill the lack of previous studies ways emphasis text description and lack of accuracy, objectivity . Favor a more intuitive understanding of the urban development process in the relationship between the blocks of space and the whole city , and also hope that through research and analysis , and to extract useful inspiration of contemporary urban construction .
