Abstract


With the development of society and the progress of science and technology, people’s life significantly improved, and people begin to pursuit higher level of spiritual because of the material life conditions have been satisfied. Under this background, landscape designer begins to get people’s attention. With the developmenting of the society, urban construction has accelerated the trend of landscape design in our country. However, effected by globalization, most of our landscape design is influenced by the western styles, and people have a blind worship to the landscape design of europe as a kind of fashion, so that landscape avenue, commercial pedestrian street and square could be seen everywhere. Ignored the geographic conditions and cultural characteristics, many landscape design lack of connotations and features, most of them are similar with each other. Although some areas have realized the importance of context in landscape construction, and they also have paid attention to the traditional local culture in landscape design, but it still need to put it into practice. This paper aimed at these problems, through theoretical research and analysis of the status and the landscape context of understanding on elements, to make elements have a good expression in landscape architecture. First, based on collection, author excavation local cultural history and get some useful design elements. Second, the form of design elements instead by symbols and put them into modern landscape design. Finally, strengthening the context element characteristic. It need to pay attention to the combination of traditional and modern, respect the local context and inheriting the traditional landscape elements in these processes, and at the same time, it also need to inject new connotation of traditional symbol,combined the traditional symbol with modern landscape design and design some works which correspond with the time, leaving the sign belong to The Times, making the context constantly innovation during the development.At the end of the paper, author use The Tang Paradise as a example to prove the theory. Through know the background, regional characteristic and culture of the The Tang Paradise, analysis the use of various cultural expression method and traditional element symbols in The Tang Paradise, and how to perfectly contact the classical garden and modern landscape.
