The epoxy resin is a thermosetting resin, which has a good process properties, mechanical properties and physical properties. Waterborne epoxy resin system to avoid the large-scale use of volatile organic compounds (VOC), has significant environmental features and value, and thus become one of the areas of concern in recent years its application of epoxy resin aqueous. Firstly, a system composed of an epoxy resin 669, the solvent is an organic solvent of ethylene glycol ethyl ether, and deionized water were mixed in the form of a mass ratio of 1:1, the curing agent used is triethylene tetraamine ( TETA), and was added in its aqueous homemade Lewis acid solution, a solid content of 40%, the amount of curing agent is 17% to cure system for the preparation of epoxy 669, its applicable period of the cure system at room temperature and at high temperatures gel and cure time, and curing system, thermal gravimetric analysis, a preliminary study aspects of the feasibility of the adhesive curing systems as its testing its tensile shear strength. After experimental analysis shows, the curing system is the adaptation period at room temperature for one week or more, and at a high temperature of 95 ℃ when the curing system can be cured within 1h, reached the anticipated requirements of the experiment. After thermal gravimetric analysis shows, the cure system since decomposition temperature of 240 ℃, terminate the decomposition temperature of 620 ° C. Tested the tensile shear strength of the curing system is known, the average tensile shear strength of 0.486 MPa. Secondly, to start from the molecular design and chemical modification method, select the quantitative addition reaction of a glycidyl ether type epoxy resin 669 (ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether) with ethanolamine, synthesis of a molecular structure having a ring group, a modified resin having a hydrophilic group. And then neutralized with an acid and a salt thereof, together with water obtained the excellent stability of the epoxy resin aqueous system. Study of the reaction temperature, the reaction time of the modification reaction and determine appropriate modification process. By infrared spectroscopy were used to characterize the structure of the modified products to prove that the modified resin is completely in line with the expected results of the molecular design. Finally, the stability of the aqueous systems of the modified resin 669, and their aqueous systems can be stored at room temperature for more than 2 months; study and the applicable period of its the cure system 669 of the modified resin, at room temperature its cure system applicable period of about one week; its modified resin 669 curing system, the thermal gravimetric analysis, the cure system since the decomposition temperature of 230 ° C, to terminate the decomposition temperature of 620 ° C; tested modified resin 669 tensile shear strength of the cure system, the average tensile shear strength of 0.837MPa comparison, and the tensile shear strength and the cure system of the epoxy resin 669, 669 curing system of the modified resin than epoxy 669 curing system better mechanical properties of modified epoxy resin 669 system has a good application value.
