Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship and its possible mechanism of the formation of and risk factors with hypertension and obese patients with serum adiponectin levels and left ventricular hypertrophy (left ventricular hypertrophy, LVH) . 95 cases were selected object of study , from November 2009 to December 2010 , are the physical examination and inpatient ward cadres in the First Hospital of Jilin University . According to the diagnostic criteria of hypertension , including essential hypertension ( essential hypertension , EH ) of 50 patients with normal blood pressure by 45 cases . According to the BMI (body mass index, BMI) ≥ 25kg/m2, 50 patients with essential hypertension were divided into obese group of hypertension and in hypertension group , 45 patients with normal blood pressure were divided into obese group and normal control group hypertensive obese group of 27 patients in hypertension group 23 cases , 21 cases of obesity group and normal control group of 24 cases . All subjects measuring height, weight , blood pressure , and calculated the body mass index ( BMI ) , fasting blood glucose , blood lipids and other biochemical tests , ELISA method for the determination of the level of serum adiponectin (APN) , measured by echocardiography in patients with left ventricular diastolic end systolic diameter (LVEDD), end-diastolic left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPWT), end-diastolic interventricular septum thickness (IVST). Left ventricular mass (LVM) and left ventricular mass index ( LVMI ) calculated according to the formula . Statistical analysis was performed , the results : In the control group , the obese group , simple hypertension , hypertension, obesity group , serum APN levels in descending order , and differences between groups were statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) The four groups in LVMI increased successively , and the differences between groups were statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) . APN and LVMI was significantly negatively correlated , BMI, systolic blood pressure ( SBP ) , diastolic blood pressure (DBP), low-density lipoprotein - cholesterol (LDL-C) was positively correlated with LVMI stepwise regression analysis , APN, BMI and LVMI was negative correlation . To arrive at obesity and high blood pressure in patients with serum APN levels were reduced , the presence of a combination of both , significantly decreased serum APN ; obesity and high blood pressure can lead to left ventricular hypertrophy , serum APN and the degree of left ventricular hypertrophy was negatively correlated ; hypertension and obesity at the same time , it may act synergistically to accelerate the process of left ventricular hypertrophy .
