Abstract


In this thesis, the use of ASTM C289, ASTM C227 and JIS A1804 series three methods alkali - aggregate reaction , Xuchang used for concrete aggregates for a more comprehensive testing to determine whether it has the potential alkali reactivity , Xuchang area concrete engineering provide the basis for the use of aggregates . According to ASTM C289 test method results , Xuchang surrounding area aggregates most harmful or potentially harmful , just ditch Yuzhou bridges , Blue River , Chang and Liu Xiang County slope four non- hazardous ; while in ASTM C227 test method has only partial and Linying all Yuzhou area aggregates hazardous . In the test method JIS A1804 results showed substantially the ASTM C289 test method similar, but compared with the ASTM C227 , the results found that they are not consistent ; present experimental results show that the criterion should make the appropriate correction , the specimen expansion greater than 0.12% and ultrasonic lower rate of more than 13% is judged harmful , the rest is harmless, as Xuchang area criterion .
